"Chromezoner" Face and New Ride On Toy

When Cole is staring at something and looks completely out of this world we call it his "chromezoner" face.  Jonathan is very inventive with words and nicknames...I take credit for none of them, but they are funny.  Here is him watching the musical 'Oklahoma'.  He loved it!

Cole's new ride-on toy from garage saling.  I was very excited about it because the propeller in front spins and makes a cool noise.  I didn't even realize it when I bought it.

I had Sesame Street on as I got ready to go look at fabric for his bedding.  Mr. Rogers came on (I had no clue they still played his reruns) and Cole had the enthralled chromezoner expression once again!  For some reason he looks about 4 years old in this pic!

Cole Bear Crawls for Daddy

Cole has been showing off for Jonathan lately when he gets home from work. A few nights ago he did this bear crawl. The next night he walked like a penguin. I didn't get that on video yet, but he has fun doing these things, as you can tell. I have no idea where he came up with either of these types of transportation...funny guy!

Showing Off

Cole has been showing off for Jonathan when he gets home from work.  A few nights ago he was all over climbing all over us.  Two nights ago he bear crawled and last night he decided to walk like a penguin.  I am looking forward to whatever trick he has up his sleeve tonight!:)

Playdate/PhotoShoot

Our friends, the Keen family, have a beautiful backyard.  The flowers were in bloom so we decided to try to get pictures of the kids.

This was my favorite of the day.  Kolbi is such a pretty girl.

Cole didn't give me much to work with.  He was more interested in the swingset. 

I will not shoot in RAW format again until I have an expensive picture editor that can convert RAW files into high quality JPEGs. I had to convert these with a free online converter and I just thought they were more grainy than normal.

Cole was kind of obsessed with hugging Kolbi.  It was funny because he hasn't really hugged anyone besides me.  Last night he hugged Jonathan for the first time, so maybe he is just becoming more huggy.

I learned a taking these pictures.  I won't shoot in RAW format again until I get a really good editor that will convert them is one thing (as mentioned above).  Also, shooting in spotty shade is kind of dicey.  There are multiple other little things that I learned, too.

Oklahoma City: Day 2

Cole slept great in the hotel which was just wonderful.  We went to POPS in the morning, one of our favorite places, and got two sodas.  It wasn't much fun going just me and Cole, though, especially at his age since he tried to walk out of there carrying 10 individual packs of Snackwell's cookies against his chest.

We went to lunch with my friend, Jenny, from High School, and then took Cole to the Terracon OKC office so they could all see him.  I drove him around for about an hour to sleep and then we visited our old neighbors, the Youngs.  Here he is in Lucas's front end loader.

Then we went over to the Kraus's.  Jackson was born last summer so this was our first time to see him.  He looks a lot like Tim.  I used to work with Tim at Fife Corp. and became friends with Amanda.  Jonathan and I got together with them several times when we lived in OK.  They even have the dog we got from Montana.

We told Jackson and Cole to "high five".  Since Jackson is too small for it, Cole patted his head.

Cole got to watch our old dog (now named Belle) play fetch.  She is really good at it and that is what the video was from yesterday.  He loved it!

Cole thought that Belle fetching was the funniest thing ever. Bell was the dog that we got from Montana. It broke my heart to give her away, but it was better for us and now I am glad we have no animals. Cole loves dogs, though, and he really enjoyed her as you can see. Ignore my strange "do it again" over and over. I don't even realize I am talking when taking videos...

Oklahoma City : Day 1

We went to OKC Monday and Tuesday of this week.  Jonathan is working there until tomorrow night, so we joined him for the first two days.  We only stayed one night overnight and it worked out pretty well.  Lisa Bialon took this shot...it is VERY nicely composed!  Cole and Blake...I cannot believe how big they are...

Four of the (at least) five children born within 3-4 months of each other from our old Sunday School class (Cole, Blake, Hayden, Lily).  Cole is the oldest in this grouping...hard to believe.  Then Hayden was born not much more than a week after Cole.  Lily was born right before we left OK for NC and Blake was born right after we left.

After lunch with the girls and kiddos we tried for a nap at the Mullins and it was unsuccessful.  So, when Diana called and said she was almost home we headed over there.  It was so late in the day a nap was almost impossible, anyway, aside from me driving him all around in the car (which I did Tuesday).

We had Ted's Mexican for dinner (Ted's Escondido).  Cole got a juice box and decided to squeeze it very hard.  It got in his eye and all over him.  This was his stunned expression.

Candice Michelle and Cole.  We go by "Candice Michelle" and "Candice Marie" around the Wood household or it starts getting confusing.  In fact there were several times where Candice's boyfriend, Richard, was addressing her and I thought he was talking to me...it was the first time we had met him so I am not sure why I still automatically perked up at my name, but Candice and I are both not used to having another Candice around:).  Cole danced at their house.  I need to get that video up because it was pretty funny.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

After a great day at church today, our good friend, Charlie Nutter, took us out to the ballgame at ONEOK (one oak, phonetically) field.  The Tulsa Drillers are double A baseball.  Boy, we love minor league ball!

Cole was checking out the players.  We sat in the second row (basically the first row because the people in front of us had a toddler less tolerant than Cole).

Jonathan and Cole went to the gift shop and Jonathan got a hat.  They came back and I took Cole over to the shop where he didn't behave completely well (not horrible, but not a chance I could try on shirts or anything) so we went over to the playground that is just really awesome!  Then Cole and I got drinks for Charlie (sitting by Jonathan) and us and we got Cole a piece of pizza.

The child ate almost the entire piece of pizza.  He had to be hungry...he hadn't really eaten since breakfast (though food had been offered).  Charlie is in the background of this pic.

Cole was fascitated with the Drillers' mascot, Hornsby, until he got close.  From 20 feet Hornsby was the coolest thing he'd seen, up close he was more than slightly terrifying.  Then, we went back to the 20 foot distance and Hornsby became interesting again.

Cole got on the scoreboard twice.  The first time was best...right in front of us...but I didn't get a picture.  This was the second shot of Cole.  You can see his profile and cheek.  Such a cutie!

After the pizza Cole was very into watching the game for about an hour.  He just sat on our laps and was calm.

Then he had to get moving.  He played a bit on the steps next to us.  The nice 8 year old girl behind us sat on a step 3 steps up and made sure he didn't go past (just by acknowledging him she would get him to turn around in shyness).
