22 Weeks

Here we are at 22 weeks. He's kicking me now and Jonathan has felt it. He's pretty active and I feel him when I sit down to relax. I had to airbrush my face a little, but I do have these dark spots on each cheek. They are called 'the mask of motherhood' and will go away after delivery. Crazy! Any possible skin affliction to have while pregnant I have. I guess that is payback for not being sick. I need to start playing guitar for the little guy to get him accustomed to it. Maybe I will start tonight. I took off work today and went to a big consignment sale with Lisa Bialon. I got a bouncy seat and some sleepers. It was fun! But tonight I need to sew some blankets I am making for the baby and then maybe I can play guitar. I worked out today, but I will maybe sit in and read while Jonathan works out so we can at least be in the same room together:). I went to the sale today looking for a crib, but had no luck. Craigslist here I come. Let me know if any of you all hear of a crib!!!

Easter Sunday

We had Easter dinner (lunch) with the Bialons. Karli has an egg here...we did the Easter egg hunt inside. She was really cute. Her dress was adorable.
Us out front at the Bialons. I made my first carrot cake and it turned out tasting good, but looking bad.

Ocean Themed Nursery

Well, I just found out that Britney Spears little sister is copying off the Forte idea of an ocean-themed nursery. While I would rather have no association to the Spears' families I guess I have to live with it. We decided on an ocean theme months ago and I went online and typed in Ocean Nursery and a billion hits for Britney Spears came up instead of what I was searching for. What I wanted was just some ideas for the budget-minded decorating-impaired new parents...
So, I have to just say "grrr" in my head and move on. We found our bedding at Target and it's really cute. Amanda Haskew even pitched in a website that had a matching (well, it is close enough) kids chair. Easter pictures to follow. I haven't looked at them yet, but I should be able to find one good one. We had Easter with the Bialons. More to follow.

It's A ...

The answer must come out to the long awaited question. We had the big ultrasound today. The important thing to report...everything is normal and healthy. The fun news....It's a Boy!!:) He gave us an annoyed look in the top picture. He was kickin' and moving around all through the ultrasound. Luckily, he was sitting almost spread eagled...so it was fairly obvious he's a boy...so far a very accommodating child...at least in the womb.
Above you see a profile of his body and head. The dark spot in his abdomen is his heart. The white line below it is his spine. Brain measurements were all good. You can see his bladder down lower (the other dark hole).
The bottom picture was really cool to me. It just looks like he is totally relaxing with his feet up. I love it! It is plainly obvious that his leg is bent on the left side of the picture and his foot is right up toward the top. You can see his hip bones and I think his rib cage and shoulder.
We left out the gender picture so that in several years if he looks at this blog he won't go...Aw, Mom, why did you do that!!!???? But, it's on our fridge:). I am posting late tonight because I felt like I had to run to Kohls and get a few of the little boy things they had on clearance that I had been walking by and checking out for weeks. So, my "mother's intuition" was right for what that's worth. Jonathan also believed our baby is a boy. So, he is. We are both ecstatic that he is healthy and we are glad to have our firstborn be a boy.

BK Group and a Current Picture of my Stocky Stature

Jonathan was helping Corban Mullins be hyper by flipping him onto the couch. Corban is a doll and Jonathan just flat out loves kids. Elizabeth got a better shot of Corban in flight.
Now, I know Elizabeth is only a couple weeks behind me, but she has also had two kids. This just isn't fair!!!:) It is not only crazy to see how much taller she is than me since we both have our fingers in our belly buttons...it is also amazing how much bigger my gut is already! I have been told I will be a cute pregnant lady, but I think maybe "huge" may be better at the rate I am going!:) Now, I have gained an average amount of weight for being 19 weeks, so I am not to concerned about that. It is more like the fact that Elizabeth's baby has a 2200 sq. ft. house to grow in (her tummy) while mine only has about 1500:). (Picture taken 3/9/08)
