New Elliptical

Cole loves our new elliptical!  Our treadmill broke and this was the equipment we had decided to get if that ever happened:).  We all love it!  Cole loves "exercising" and "working out."

Many of these are from valentine's day. I made cole pancakes and we actually also went out for donuts! He ate almost both donuts. The other day we went to academy and got him his first pair of shoes from the big boy department. They were on sale for 15 dollars so that was a bonus! I also found his old church ID tag in his backpack. Look at those cheeks!
In case I hadn't blogged about it, the cutest speech thing cole does right now is substituting "for" for "when" like "for we get home, I am going to..." Or "for I was a little baby I did..." :)

Making a Chart

I stumbled upon a LOT of Octonauts (Cole's favorite show currently) stuff online and printed it.

In one weekend Cole colored and improved his coloring greatly as he tried to color the items to match pictures he had of the characters.  He also put together this whole chart today.  It was just all of the sea creatures featured on Octonauts put into a chart.  He just had to match the pictures with the silhouettes of the animals...no rocket science.  It was good for him to use a glue stick!  It is funny how much of these developmental things kind of just "happen" without major practice because he wielded the elmer's glue stick like a pro!

Starting Kindergarten and wanting to be photographed

 We ordered Cole's Kindergarten curriculum on February 1st.  Part of it came in a big box yesterday.  He is excited!  We may start in early March as I have some leftover Pre-k/K materials to work with him on that would be beneficial and challenging before diving in to Kindergarten...but we are not semi prepared:)

How could I pass when he asked me to take a picture of him with his trains?  I couldn't!

Bedtime Drink

While giving Cole his bedtime drink tonight...

Mommy: "Cole, I am going to count to 8 and then take your cup because 8 is your favorite number (it is)."

Cole: "Actually, Mommy, my favorite number is 20."

Mommy: "Ok (counting fast), 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20!"

Cole: "Mommy, you counted very too fast."

Mommy: "That is because you were trying to manipulate me."

Cole: "I know (giggle)."

Oh, brother!

After Nap

This boy is so funny.  this is what we met when we went in to get him up from his "nap/quiet time" and he was saying into the bucket, "nobody's coming."  Sometimes he just cracks us up!
