Cole wanted me to bring the camera outside...so...

Cole is wearing his National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association shirt.  It was Jonathan's when he was a kid.

He actually was posing for me!

Fire Engine #29

We we at the library this past Tuesday and there happened to be a little meeting going on with firemen.  Their truck was out here so we took a few pictures.  Cole's shoes were clean, so I didn't think they would mind...well, I hoped they wouldn't.  When Cole is enjoying something immensely, he rarely smiles.  He is too busy studying it.  The fire truck is no different.  He walked all around it and then I put him on the front bumper.  He loved it.
And he actually semi-smiled.  Then he kicked and screamed when I removed him from the bumper to go home.  I think we will have TONS of fun at truck touches this year!  I am so excited!  Last year I was bummed because he liked looking at the trucks, but not getting on them or looking around inside.  He's ready!

Fortes Visit to Jenks: Part 2

On Wednesday they took Cole to a local park.  Cole liked the squirrels.
We went to the zoo Thursday.  The sky looked quite threatening, but it ended up being beautiful!
Cole liked the penguins.
I liked this one for dramatic effect.
Checking out the zoo map as we waited for the train.
Waiting for the train.
Choo choo!
Choo choo!
On the carousel with Grandma.
Trying to get a cool reflective shot.
The flowers were beautiful.  His face was so funny in these.  It went from a smile that PopPop was out of the bathroom to uncertain to what was going on to extreme upset that PopPop went into the gift shop.
Not wanting a picture with Mommy.
Still no picture with Mommy.
Cute shot with Pop-Pop and Grandma.

Forte's Visit Jenks - September 2010

Any of you who have late walkers, I can tell you do not worry.  Cole has made up for his tardiness in walking by running and jumping with the best of them.  "Cole, come here, Pop-pop has a present!"
What is the present!?  I am tearing my shirt in anticipation.
The car.  He is gonna love it!
He already does love it!
Cole even pedaled it!  He is getting so big!
Pushing the car.
The car didn't leave his side the whole time we were outside.

Church Opening Weekend

We had our new ministry center opening weekend last weekend after my Mom left.  We went and had a nice time on Saturday night.  Cole wouldn't go in the bouncy toys, but he had fun playing football.

And he had fun being a playground hooligan.
See-sawing with Daddy.
See-sawing with Daddies watching.  Jackson and Cole are buddies.
PIT STOP!  Needing refreshment after running around like a crazy man!
Ready, Set, Go!

The Remainder of Grandma's Visit to Jenks Sept 2010

We went to our friends house on Wednesday.  It was rainy and gross outside, but we played in their nice playroom and Mom got to meet Lisa and the girls.
Cole was not very happy.  He was cutting his second to last molar this past week.  He sat in Grandma's lap and though she was sad that he didn't feel good it looks like she loved every second of the snuggling.
Thursday we went to Woodland Hills mall in the morning, met Jonathan for lunch, and Cole was just not in a very good mood at all the entire day (see above...crying for about 20 minutes after his nap).  Friday we went to the park in the morning and then to Utica Square.  Here are pictures from the park.  Cole was in much better spirits.
Swinging with Grandma and checking out the turtles under the bridge in the water.
Then we came home and ate lunch.  This is what they did until nap time.
"GO!"

This car thing was Cole's favorite activity with Grandma along with running around doing Ring Around the Rosie.  I have a video.  Not sure that my Mom wants me to post her doing Ring Around the Rosie, but it is cute how excited it got Cole!

Grandma Visit: Day 1

Day 1.  We went for a walk after dinner since we knew that the weather was nice and it was going to rain while Grandma was here.
Zoom goes the plane!
Squatting was the thing of the evening.  Don't know why...
See what I mean?
Perpetual Motion Machine.  I know they say they don't exist, but I tend to disagree.
Cole had tons of fun with cars with Grandma as you will see in future posts.  They've only just begun...
