Yesterday we went and visited the Brocks in Carthage, MO, their new home.  Holly asked me to take some photographs of them and Sadie while we were there and I was more than happy to!  Cole just had to get in on it.  Wish he had his jeans and a plaid shirt on, but I love it, just the same!  We enjoyed watching them play.  They played very well together!

 This is Cole during a school day this past week where I just let him keep his PJs on.  We played an alphabet game.  It was fun!

I was curious to see if we could get our teak clean without spending loads of money on official teak cleaner.  Wisk laundry detergent is wonderful!  What a difference!

T-shirts

Had I known that acrylic paints permanently stick to t-shirts I would have been doing this sooooo long ago!   The cuttlefish is something I always wanted to make/buy.  We made shirts for MOPS this year as usual and I just wanted to do something really neat.  It will kill me to put his name on the back in permanent paint making it look less "professional".  I may have to use some name tags :).  The horseshoe crab was by Cole's request.  I had text on it, but decided against it so made a "sea floor" instead.  Oh well!  Maybe it will be the MOPS shirt:).

Swimming Lessons

Cole is doing a swimming boot camp of sorts this week with his favorite swim teacher ever....September!  She is wonderful and the techniques they use keep the kids happy and not nervous. It is actually quite amazing.  We will be doing this again!

Catch of the Day!

I love that this hoodie will get so much use.  Starting with probably our trip to Ohio he will be wearing it all fall and for Halloween and probably the rest of the winter!  We got it from Old Navy after a friend heard of my plans to make one and saw it in an ad!  So glad!  She saved me a few hours and he LOVES IT!

4 short years ago he barely was high enough to get up to the little neck roll insert in this carseat.  Today he spills out!  How fast and how much he has grown!!!
