The past weekend

Friday was beautiful out.  Cole really didn't even need this jacket, but who knows how much longer it will fit him.  My brother got him the outfit.

Snuggling.  This couch is seriously not flattering.
To my knowledge this is the first time Cole has tried on my shoes (or any shoes aside from our sandals/flipflops.  Very cute.
I love this picture!  If they were wearing dressy clothes and were in a more scenic location I would frame it.  It is so good I may have to frame it anyway!

Joyful!

We have been cooped up inside too long so since it was above freezing (not by much, but we dealt with it) we went outside for a bit before dinner tonight.  Clearly, Cole was elated.  He barely has a foot on the ground in the above shot.
Laughing hysterically at Mommys comedy a la Dick Van Dyke (aka tripping over everything I see and grunting).
Apparently I figured out the trick to get Cole to tolerate the camera and have fun and actually look like he's having fun.  Just be a crazy fool acting like you are about to fall over.
Every single shot from above is a belly laugh face.  It almost looks like a grimace at times, but I can assure you he laughed so hard that he fell down a couple of the stairs on the big piece of equipment.  Fortunately he was unharmed.  Maybe I went overboard with making him laugh.

I just also have to mention this because it is so cute it makes my heart smile.  Cole is saying "Daddy, where are we?" in a sing-song voice.  Actually, even if he is looking for a toy he does this.  Let's say he is looking for a letter A for his alphabet puzzle "A, where are we?"  I love how he says we instead of you!  His vocabulary is absolutely huge now, even though not everything is understandable.  It gets better every day!  Enjoy his joy!

Random

This was Cole just before going to a friends birthday party last Friday.  Hope you enjoy!

Rub a Dub!

Cole doesn't take a bath too often.  He is more of a shower guy.  But, when Daddy can't shower him then he takes baths (2 seems to be about the age of curiosity so Mommy and Me showers have been stopped for a while)!  I gave him a bath last night and snapped some shots.  He was scribbling with his bath markers.
 The favorite green ducky.
 Yellow ducky.
 Peach Ducky.
Spilling water onto his belly is a favorite bath/shower past time.  It works better in the bath as you may imagine.

Grandparents! Here is a special post for you!

I got a nice piece of fleece to use for a backdrop for indoor photography and Cole was my first very cute guinea pig.
Toddler + very expensive guitar would normally = bad idea, but he is very good with it.

The shirt was too fitting so the guitar was an ideal prop!
 Playing with Mr. Potato Head.
 Goofing around!
 VERY silly!
 Back to concentrating.
 Back to goofing around!

I love his little piggies!

A few Photos from this past week

We had a snowfall.  Cole kept telling me everything was a "MESS".  It was funny.  "Truck Mess, House Mess, etc".
We watched the snow fall and I took some pictures of Cole's new tie t-shirts I made him.  He loves them.
Monday, January 10th, we put Cole's bed together in his room.  We bought him a nice storage bed on craigslist last week.  It is a very nice bed.  We discovered it may be a good idea to have two full sized beds so we wouldn't kick Cole out of his room every time we had company (I had already made bedding for him and we planned to give him the full size bed in the guest bedroom).  So, now we have two full beds.  He seems afraid to sleep in it, so we haven't pushed him.  We have no reason to.  He likes reading on the bed.  The safety rails make the quilt I made him not fit on the bed properly, but I'd rather that than he fall out of bed!  But, when he starts sleeping in it and we redo his room I will take some pictures of the bedding I made without the safety rails.

Our Little Wide Receiver

I was vacuuming a room out as we are beginning to prepare to put a bed in Cole's bedroom and I heard someone yelling really loud and thought it was Jonathan.  I turned off the vacuum and came running and instead of an ER visit like I was imagining I got to witness this beautiful sight!

A few from this past week.

It was warm enough to go outside one day.  Cole likes pushing his tricycle all over the neighborhood.  Lately he has been trying to go over to our friend's house in the next neighborhood.  He starts walking that way and says their names.
Ringing the bell on his tricycle.
Cole figured out the optical sensor on his night lights.  He thought it was hilarious.  So did I!

Forte Visit - Part 2

Snuggled up with Mommy practicing drinking from a water bottle and watching Sunday night Football.
After the water practice we took of the wet shirt and had a little diaper boy running around.
Had to keep him warm since we stripped him down after the water was all over him.
 Mommy Kisses.
We went to the mall on New Years Day.  Pop Pop and Cole were watching the carousel.
Watching carousel.  He was so zonked!
 Showing off his shark slippers.
Playing and matching up his construction cars to the pages in the book.
Introduction to his play dough toys.  He enjoyed it.  I love this picture!  It really just tells the story very well!

Pop Pop and Grandma Visit!

 They read books.
We ate Ted's and kept Cole busy wearing sunglasses.
He liked to wear them like this.
 We played airplanes.
Cole concentrated a lot on his planes.
 And played with Pop Pop.
 We opened presents.
Cole got a quilted play mat roadway to play cars on.
Cole got a neat construction vehicle book.  He really loves the roadway blanket especially.  He plays with it all the time.
