A couple of Christmas card images

We took these last weekend to try and get a good Christmas card picture.  I love the top one!  The bottom is good, too, but the top one was taken at a train station in Guthrie.  Very fitting background!  It was cold so we didn't do very many!

Thanksgiving 2012

We woke up and looked at I Spy books (finding objects in jumbled messes of objects) and relaxed and then made dinner (just after breakfast) :).  Cole ate mashed potatoes (or any potatoes) for the first time ever and he loved them.  He also really enjoyed the dressing.  The green beans he ate some of and the turkey...maybe a bite.  It was the most he's ever eaten of thanksgiving dinner.  He couldn't wait for the pumpkin pie...he REALLY liked it!

We have been sick here for about a month.  Pretty much since we got back from our Ohio visit.  Cole started with it and he is still sick and passed it to the two of us.  But, he loves his fishy.  It is so funny to listen to him talk to the fish.

"Sydney, your name is Sydney James Forte."
"Sydney, you are Sydney number 2, but really you are Sydney number 4 because I am 4....when I turn 5 you will be Sydney number 5."

"Mommy, when Sydney grows up he is going to be a Daddy, just like I am going to be a Daddy."

I guess I already posted these quotes, but I didn't want to forget them...so funny!

Today:
Cole: After this I am going to take a show-show (shower).  When I get out my hair will be all wet.  Then I will come in here again, fishy, and see you, and play and wait for dinner.

Cole and his Fish

Cole loves his fish.  His fish's name is Sydney....Sydney #2 that is.  "cuz, Sydney #1 died" as Cole would say.  The other day here is the "conversation" Cole was having with his fish...

"Fishy, your name is Sydney...Sydney James Forte...but I am going to call you 'Cole' because that is my name."

Also, "Sydney, you are Sydney #2, but you are really Sydney #4 because I am 4.  When I turn 5, you will be Sydney #5."

Daddy Love and Cole Quote

Lately I am loving all the father son bonding. Watching train movies at night and playing sports outside and basketball inside at night. Jonathan has always been a wonderful daddy! Cole and I are so blessed!

Tonight Cole drops a bott le of water (cap on thank goodness) on the floor. He says "good catch, floor". I believe the reason was that the bottle landed on it's bottom (like someone had placed it there). It was pretty hilarious.

He may be a homeschool only child, but I would say he's a team player if he's giving props to the floor for catching the water bottle...lol!

Fall Colors
