Cow Appreciation Day and Being Silly
We went to Cow Appreciation Day yesterday. If you dress like a cow you get your lunch free. Cole used to be terrified of the cow, but now he gives it 5 and loves it!
Friends happened to be there so I got a picture of the two of us looking silly together. It was worth free lunch!
What photographer would love "Mommy, take my picture!" even if the subject matter is rather silly? Cole loving on his "rahrs" and his dog "scruffy".

Cole goes Bowling
We went bowling this morning and it was a blast! Cole had a ton of fun. He got several spares and a few strikes. By Kate's final roll he got so into it he was leaning down with her to see if she knocked them all down (she did). It was exciting! What a lovely memory to make with good friends of a "first" experience!

Crocheted Hat and Sweltering Heat
I made a little newborn bomber hat for a friend that I will be taking newborn pictures for in the near future and I used the rest of the yarn to make Cole a bomber hat. I had just enough! He liked the noise the crochet hook made when he dropped it on the floor in the living room (we are lacking carpet pad due to a flood a few weeks ago...it was awful).

It is sweltering here. This picture makes me happy to just look at. Splashy water brings comfort during this hot hot time here!
