Night at the Brocks
We played games and I got my new green sweater when Holly and I went shopping. I was so excited about it that I locked my keys in our car! We got home at 2 (the Brocks live 40 minutes away). I also got new glasses.

4.5"
Jonathan chipped this away from in front of our garage. I have no idea how he did it. We couldn't break it up easily. I was out there hitting it with the backside of a hammer just to get some area broken up for friction. It was crazy. Just go to the store for salt, you say? Oh, that was out of stock a week ago. No one keeps much salt here. You only need it once every 5 years!
That is all 100% pure ice
See the reflections from our dormers? It is all ice. We could have ice skated on our front yard it was that hard-packed. We almost killed ourselves trying to get up onto the front porch. There was an ice mound there and you had to hang onto the brick to get up onto the porch. No tire tracks? The CAR couldn't even make an impression. The streets were icy for a week and driving to work was awful! I almost couldn't get out of the grocery store lot...it was uphill and the wheels were spinning. It has since snowed, but the roads are fine and most everything has melted.

Well, I wish I could say the whole wedding experience was fun. Flying back was not. A huge ice storm hit Oklahoma up through St. Louis. We had a canceled flight, 8 hours in the Columbus Airport, a flight to Dallas, overnight in Dallas (Comfort Suites), then onto a delayed flight for de-icing to OKC. The nice thing was that the guy gave us a free upgrade room. The jacuzzi may have been nice if both of us didn't just pass out from exhaustion. We did get to watch the Bears game in the airport...so I guess it wasn't a total waste. We came home to this.

Anne, her little sister, Christine, and myself singing along with Strawberry Wine sung by Deanna Carter. Oh Bittersweet!

Us at the Reception
We had a really nice time at the reception seeing Anne and Zach, Jeremy and Annette, and Janice and Michael. We hadn't seen any of them for at least 2 years. It was fun for all of us. Maybe we can all meet in Arkansas:). It is the center point for Anne and Zach (Metropolis IL) Christine and Tim (Memphis TN) and Me and Jonathan (Oklahoma City OK).

Christine and Tim truly make a great couple. We had not met Tim previously but we had heard a lot about him and he sounds wonderful. We wish them much happiness in their married life together.
We stayed with Jonathan's parents when we went up to Ohio the second time for the wedding. This is us just before leaving for the wedding in Columbus.

Hopewell Culture National Historic Park
We went down to Chillicothe while in Ohio and went to some Indian burial mounds. It was gloomy outside, but made for some good pictures.

We went back to Ohio for Christmas and then two weeks later for Christine and Tim's wedding. We met Chris, my brother, at a steakhouse. It was very wonderful to get to talk to him one on one.

Jonathan's grandma Tyler gave us this beautiful piece of furniture over Christmas. It belonged to her and her late husband and they bought it used for only 4 dollars in 1947. It matches all of our kitchen furniture perfectly including the kitchen table we refinished.

Holly and Matt are two of our very best friends. Though they moved away we are glad it was only 40 minutes! One of our other sets of good friends are moving to Vienna, Austria in the summer so we are glad to keep the Brocks at close range!
Sadie and Matt Brock. Sadie is such a cute little princess. She is growing up so fast!
