The Leopard Likes Balloons

Poor Cole. He had an ear infection, his 4th tooth is so close to making it's appearance, he just got over a cold, and now this. I took him in yesterday morning (above...here is he waiting to see the doctor) because on Sunday it looked like he had little pock marks. We called and the advice nurse said it probably was a reaction to penicillin.
Here is the leopard after his nap in the afternoon. Today it is even crazier and he has one on his eyelid! He is 35 weeks today, but I am not taking pictures....he's still beautiful to us, marked and all, but we don't need more pictures to commemorate this very unfun time here. Luckily they don't seem to be bothering him. I had to change the antibiotic I was on since I nurse him, too, so there's another prescription and copay yesterday!
We went to Harris Teeter and they gave him his first balloon. He was enthralled!
Whoa! It defies gravity!
By last night it didn't float anymore, but it was still just as interesting. He actually tackled it from Daddy's lap (the picture is so weird it is hard to tell what is going on, though, so I didn't post it). It was funny, though.

A Walk In The Park...Wow 4 posts in one day...many posts below!

We went walking this afternoon and then to the park. Daddy took a bunch of pictures.
We went down slides.
We went on the swings, too. Cole seemed really tired so he wasn't too smiley. He's always like that outdoors...really calm and mellow checking everything out!
Cole and Daddy after the walk.
Cole before bed tonight. These PJs say they are 18 months...whatever. They are pretty small. It is very warm in the house, so shorts were appropriate.

First Hair Cut

Before the haircut.
We had to move the haircut outside to keep Cole calmer, but he really did great. He wouldn't let us use clippers, but he did fine with scissors.
After the haircut. Some off the top and off the back.
Ah, the back looks great without all the really long hair along the bottom only.
The top was trimmed a bit to start to even it out with the rest of his hair.
What a cutie. Such a big boy! We did a mold of his little hand today, too! Can't wait to see it tomorrow!

8 Months!!!

There's a shot of the top tooth. It came in yesterday.
So sweet.
Inquisitive.
Precious.
Happy.
He's getting closer to crawling. This is just before his first haircut/trim. He's just the best gift we ever could have been given.

Last Night

Last night. He was playing in his bin of 9-12 month clothes. His hair was getting long in the back, so we trimmed it and the faux hawk today.
Wearing the shades.
Taking off the shades!

Baby Yoga

He has decided to sit up (above) in anything he is not tied down to. I used to be able to loosen his infant carrier in the mall or wherever. Now, he sits straight up and holds onto the carrier handle. It seems dangerous. The carrier is about to be history anyway.
Cole the Star Wars fan. Got this for 1.74 at Target. It is 18 month, but it is way small. Not Yoda, Yoga!
Before Yoga.
He hasn't quite gotten the hang of downward facing dog (this is WAY higher than he was doing the other day...crazy).
Upward facing dog.

Car Seat Pics and the 3rd Tooth

2 Days Old
A Little Less Than a Month Old
A Little Less Than 5 Months
A Little Less Than 8 Months.
He's about too big for this seat. He probably has another month in it. His feet touch the seat of the car and he will soon have to bend his knees to sit. We have his next seat ready for him. It is so amazing how much he has changed since we brought him home on July 31st.
His 3rd tooth finally busted through last night. Obviously it is still too much of a nub to take a picture of, but I am sure we will get a few good ones soon. That 4th one is soon to follow!

Feets of Strength

Well, he still isn't crawling, but he is doing these crazy pushup things that look like the worm and move him backwards. He doesn't bend his knees, but just lifts his whole body up. I really think Cole likes doing things the hard way.
Why are you always taking pictures, Mommy?
Crazy push up. Is this a precursor to crawling or just a strength thing? Maybe he will end up crawling on his feet instead of his knees.

Teething Biscuit or Harmonica?

Hard to say because it's food and it's a toy!
He gnawed this thing down good today. Those teeth are just about to pop and really look like they hurt!
Teething biscuits are a mess.
Now we need to clean up!
Cole's favorite two bath toys. Sea star and sting ray. They are quite palatable, too.

34 Weeks!

To commemorate Cole's 2nd ear infection (a double), first upper respiratory infection, and his two top teeth just under the gum tissue ready to push out this weekend I took his 34 week pics in his PJs. I am in mine as well. He gave me his cold, so we both have sore noses. He's pretty cheery despite all that is going on with his little body that is uncomfortable so that is a blessing. Here are a few shots. Funny how he is smiley today of all days.

Yesterday and Today

I love his little chin.
I could just eat him up.
Cole and Daddy a few minutes ago. Cole was running a good fever today and was pretty unhappy. He got two baths just because he likes them. He was a little prune both times when I pulled him out. At least he is eating and drinking well...

Finally got the hang of teething biscuits

His little pincer grasp gets better every day and I think it was that and the intense pain in his gums that made him finally want to gnaw away on his teething biscuit. I have given him some in weeks past and he basically treated it like a toy. Not today. He was scraping away with his bottom teeth and gumming with the top.
