6 Month Photos - Professional

We ordered the one above. His little tooth is showing and he is so cute in it!

We ordered the above one on his belly, too. He usually hates tummy time, but he seemed to like it here.
We loved it, but didn't order it, there were too many others.
Same here. The bath ones were really cute, but we had other favorites.
Sitting like a big boy in the chair. We got this one, too. He got in the chair and wrapped his hands on the rails. It was too funny.
We got a free cameo and this one was on it (along with the other beige ones...we didn't order them separately).

I don't know if she put the C forward on the block on purpose or not!
The best one of all of us.
Cole was just too cute. We got enough pictures to get the free low resolution disc. Here are some of the pictures (we didn't get all of these, obviously).
We went to Portrait Innovations and they did good work as usual. We bought more pictures than normal (usually we only get 1 or two shots) but it was so exciting that he was so engaged in the process that we couldn't help ourselves! Next time we are back to the normal 1 or 2 shots:).

He Went Under Water!

We don't have a picture, but Cole went under water today. He didn't swallow water and he did close his eyes. He really seems to enjoy water. Maybe we have another Jacques Cousteau on our hands. Here is him before swimming. It was a little hectic getting there because Daddy went to put on his swim diaper on our bed (we never change him on our bed) and he tinkled all over. Good thing we have a waterproof protector!!! Here he is afterward all happy on our bed waiting for swimming. Smiling for Daddy!
I hope this is a good omen, but he is taking a nice long nap and we are about to head up to get his pictures taken! We are doing a family picture, too! I hope we can get some smiles out of him!

6 Months!

You, Little you, 6 months of growing and learning. My how far you have come.
You have wrapped up our hearts so thoroughly.
Your curiosity is growing and seemingly endless with this new world you are in.
You are continually surprised by your new abilities as are we.
Your smile melts our hearts. Your laugh is contagious and makes us more joyful than anything we could ever experience.
You have showed us who we really are and how much we could be better.
You, little you. You complete us.

The Tooth

Close up of the tooth.
What a goofy face!!
All Smiles.
Here is a shot of Cole's first tooth that is emerging. His second seems like it is not far after based on how he is acting and chewing and drooling (not much drool, but some).

Grandma's Visit

My mother came into town this past Wednesday (thus the blogging hiatus). She spent a lot of time with Cole which was great. He seemed to enjoy all of the attention and he decided he wanted attention at night, too. It is always an adjustment after company leaves, but it is good for Cole to get to interact with his grandparents. Grandma got a book called "Grandma and Me" which she read him here.
Cole decided he wanted to chew Grandma's face (or maybe this is how he kisses). He does this to us occasionally. Good thing this didn't happen on Saturday since his first tooth popped through and let me tell ya, it is a sharp little bugger.
We decided after he chewed Grandma's face that he needed to eat. So, we fed him his oatmeal and pears that he loves so much.
Reading another book. He tries to turn pages now. It is so cute.
Sitting all by himself! (With many blankets around for when he topples).
He loves these rings.
Funning with Grandma!
We went to a consignment sale on Friday. It was huge and he got a ton of clothes! Here is his outfit he wore to go to the sale. Grandma got it for him a while back. It is adorable...it is 6-9 months and I was surprised it fit so well (too well). I go through his clothes every few weeks, too, but I guess I missed it.
Cole likes Chick-Fil-A a lot. He REALLY wanted to get to Grandma's chicken strips. It was pretty funny. She ended up moving them way across the table.
Tummy time is so much easier now that he can roll. He doesn't protest near as much.
After swimming lessons on Saturday. This is his new shark towel. On a very great note, I get to work out during the day after Thursday. Cole turns 6 months and can be babysat at our gym (YAY).
Eating the turtle at swim lessons.
He's supposed to be swimming toward it, but he would just wait until it got conveniently close and then bite it.
Not phased by Daddy sprinkling water on his head. He does it every night when he gives him a bath.
Hand, or turtle? Hand. His little tooth poked through on Saturday.
Group Shot. Cole was more interested in the turtle than the camera, though. So was Daddy:).

Practicing with Daddy.

Cole Made the News!

I guess he was on the news at noon today on tv!! I didn't see it, but my friend Nicole did! I found it on their website.
We had about 7 inches of snow yesterday and we sent this in to the tv station after all the people at Jonathan's work told us to. It has been about 7 years since they had snow like that here. Many places were closed yesterday and at least delayed today. My doctor's appointment was canceled yesterday since no one was in the office because it was closed! Jonathan went to work, but he did come home early and that is why we got such nice photos.

25 Weeks!

After a restful nap. I let him play with Squirt for a few minutes. Squirt is my favorite stuffed animal (aside from a few Jonathan got me). I am going to give him to Cole when he's a little bigger. He is in his room in a toy bay for now:).
25 Week Photo Shoot
I love our SLR, but it seems to take dim pictures. Maybe it is the flash. I don't know. I always seem to have to fix them in photo shop to make them have better contrast. Anyone know what that is? Cole always smiles more for our little point and shoot (below), but I don't like the photographic quality as much (focus, etc).
Tummy time is getting much better now that he has rolled. It has been a few days since he has rolled. His little arms always immediately go out to the sides. At least we know he can do it!
He was staring so intently outside when it was snowing hard today he would open his mouth to eat, but stare.
Maybe you can see it better when you click the picture, but there looks to be kind of an opening/slit where his little tooth is about to emerge. It is his lower left and it is white on the gum with a red little slit in it.
He sits up by himself very well.
We went outside. Jonathan came home early so we did a photo shoot.

The most perfect snow angel I have ever seen.
Beautiful boy!

Jonathan's idea for the angle, mine for the location. I love this picture...but wish I didn't look like a doofus in the hat!

Sitting up. Blankets around him in case he topples (and he will eventually).
Daddy Skiing (above)
This child is really starting to show his likes/dislikes and his wants. It is amazing and frustrating all at the same time. He likes to laugh, especially at night and after he wakes from a nap. He likes when I sing weird songs like "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult or "Lunatic Fringe" or any other strange 80s music that I don't like and don't even really know the words to:). He likes when I sing him "Silent Night" before bedtime and naps. He calms down. He loves his little blankie. He takes medicine easily, which is nice. He does not like bottles, which may present a problem...we will see. He doesn't like peas. He gags when he eats them because he doesn't like them. He ate them fine the first several times, but now he eats maybe a half jar and says "I'm done". He won't drink from a sippy cup very much, but he will drink if I take the sippy lid off. His giggle is hilarious. I may have gotten it on video last week. He will be 6 months old next week...crazy crazy! I couldn't narrow down today's busy day with any less photos, so I apologize.
