First Soccer Practice

First soccer practice for Cole yesterday. His team name is the Roughnecks. This is evidently named after Tulsa's upcoming pro soccer team http://www.tulsaroughnecksfc.com/
He had a great time! First game is next Saturday!

Cole's drawing course this year has a few levels of drawing that he had to "test" where he was by copying. The top is level 2 and bottom level 3. I am impressed with his renditions for sure. Attitude is everything, though, because when we started this when he was not in good attitude his work was MUCH poorer...

Katie Giggles

Even while grumpy and teething she still has giggles for her brother.

5 Months!

5 months old as of yesterday! So hard to believe!

At 5 months she is REALLY wanting to crawl and can roll all over. She is sitting assisted. Her bottom teeth are really getting close to popping through. She has an adorable laugh and a heart-melting smile. Her brother, as can be seen here, adores her. She makes plenty of noises! She wants to keep up with brother and wants to move the most, though!!! She is a joy to us and is completely precious!
She also "kisses" by sucking your cheek.  Really wet kisses, but still very sweet!

Mini-professor

Why I love homeschooling? He is done with his lessons for the day already and has time for this. If he was in school they'd barely know one another and instead he is a mini teacher for her. He recently discovered he can pick her up and so he put her on the couch like this and got a book and read it to her. So sweet .

Special Delivery

We got a special delivery for Cole from a sweet friend of my parent's who is an artist. Cole loves it! The colored pencils are wood-less! I have never seen such a thing! The sketch pencils have cool bumps along them! She was impressed with his artwork at such a young age and sent these really fine supplies to him!

First Day of Co-op

We have been doing school for 2 weeks now, but today was Cole's first day in co-op in a classroom.  He had a wonderful time, even though he was very anxious about it.  When he came out he asked how many naps until he goes back.  I told him seven and he said "Yes!" because he was glad he was going back soon.

Sweet Children!

 Cole just loves his sister.  He is so sweet to her!  It melts my heart!

Soccer is starting soon.  This will be Cole's first season.  Yesterday after swimming with friends (pictures will be taken next week when we do it again) we stopped and got him his cleats, shin guards, and socks.  He wore them yesterday and today!  He is very excited!  I wonder what happens when we get him his uniform in a week or two?

Rolling on the Floor

Katie is giving a WHOLE new meaning to rolling on the floor. I put her down on her activity mat and she proceeded to roll 4 feet across, turn 90 degrees, and went another 2 feet.
