On Monday we went walking and to a splash park. It was really hot in Circleville. This picture is from Tuesday when we went to Slate Run Farm. It is like a living history farm that uses old time farming ways.
Cole really loved the chickens.
He also enjoyed playing a marble game.
Standing outside the barn that has the cows and horses in it watching some huge draft horses be hooked up to work in the fields.
Reading a book on Wednesday morning after going to the library and playing with books and puzzles.
On Thursday we went to see a caboose in Ashville that Jonathan had remembered. It was very fun. Here are Jonathan and Cole on the caboose.
Checking it out with Pop-Pop.
Cheesing it for Grandma after Pop-Pop dropped a coupling pin and made an exciting noise.
Picture with Pop-Pop and Grandma.
Checking out the numbers with Grandma.
Picking clovers and putting them in a pile.
Smelling the clovers.
At that point (smelling of the clovers) a guy walks up seemingly out of nowhere and asks us if we want to see the inside of the caboose and the station close by. He was the head of the Men's Club in Ashville. This is us getting out of the caboose.
Still shot of the caboose and grain elevators on the tracks behind.
A shot from the rails.
The old abandoned mail car on the porch of the old station.
Yonder comes the train! This was back in Circleville. He was picking up some cars.
Watching the train from the van. Cole was grouchy and less than impressed.
Jonathan took all of these of the trains in Circleville.
Jonathan and his Grandmother (Granny to Cole) chatting as Cole napped before leaving for my parents in Hinckley.
